Personal Character

Parents can only give you good advice or put you on the right path, but the final forming of a person's character lies in their own hands. -Anne Frank

Parents can only do so much to ensure their child's success. But in the end, your personal character falls on the decisions you make. No other person can determine what you become in life. Whether you succeed or fail is all on you.

Mind&Body

Reading is to the mind, as exercise is to the body.

My interpretation to this quote is that you should treat your mind and body as equals. Reading is fundamental to the mind, as well as exercise is fundamental to the body. When you read, you better your mind, and yourself as an individual. This is something you do when you want to develop a more thorough vocabulary and better comprehension. When you exercise, you are doing it to develop stamina, and a more healthy body. You may also do it to develop a healthier lifestyle.
